Kansas City Chief’s Dexter McCluster Should Give Up Doing PSA’s And Stick To Playing Football!

Pro athletes always try to branch out their careers to acting, music, and other pursuits.  Many of them jump at every opportunity to do something different in an attempt to prove how versatile they are.  In some cases this is a good move, and opens up other avenues for the athlete in acting or the music industry.  But there are other times where this is a horrible idea, and only serves as a way to make the athlete look like they should stick to what they do best.

One such case of this is Kansas City Chief’s running back Dexter McCluster’s Public Service Announcement against texting while driving.  McCluster is a fast explosive player on the field, and has already made an impact with the Chief’s in his rookie year.  Although McCluster seems to be a great player on the field and his message against people sending text messages while driving is a positive one, the execution is a bit lacking  here.

The PSA is one part rap video and one part satire, but it sure is a funny thing to watch.  I don’t know who wrote the lyrics ermmm script for this, but they sure did not do McCluster any favors, the overjoyed smile on his face the entire time makes you really think he is enjoying it.  I would say this is the start and finish of McCluster’s acting career, he may catch on as a rapper because there are some bad ones out there these days.
