Arizona Cardinals defensive end Darnell Dockett was pulled over by the police on Monday, and decided he would tweet about the traffic stop. Now he isn’t the first or the last person to do this, but he tweeting things in a way that only Dockett could pull off. Here are some
highlights from the tweets. Read the entire Twitter feed here:

ddockett – “I don’t know why the police always messing w/me I’m never gonna let them search my car with out a search warrant! No matter what!”
SS Response – We agree with you here at the Sports Session, but is Tweeting about it for the world to see going to make them mess with you less?
ddockett – “Police sitting here waiting on back up cuz I told them YOU NOT SEARCHING MY CAR! PERIOD! & now I’m sitting here! Owell I aint got shit 2 do!“
SS Response – Come on Darnell that rookie thought he busted a drug dealer, and you won’t give him the satisfaction of searching your car for what he thinks he might find? He’s call for backup because you are a huge defensive lineman giving him the angry black man treatment, what you thought he was going to let you go after that? lol.
ddockett – Police said “do you mind if we look around in your Vehicle?” I said I sure DO! He said “I’m gonna call back up” I said u wanna use my phone?
SS Response – All I have to say is you have some balls my friend, some huge balls to tell him no and offer up your phone!
ddockett – No ticket and I didn’t get punk by PO-PO today now I’m off to my 2nd work out! Police aint searchig my sh*t with no warrant “holla at me”!
This whole thing was rather comical by Dockett, and the fact that the police sat there while he was giving a play-by-play is only something a pro athlete or celebrity would have the guts to do. There is nothing wrong with what Dockett did here, but his Twitter commentary is sure to be read by the police which means they are going to continue messing with him. Here is the one thing Dockett might be forgetting, by telling the police they can’t search your car it may give them the impression that you are hiding something you don’t want them to find. He was well within his right to refuse the search, but if they continue trying to gain access to search his vehicle that may be the reason why.
