Hall of Fail Team Honoree: New York Knicks Beaten by Half a C-Note (50 points)!!!

Today’s Hall of Fail Honoree is none other than the New York Knicks basketball team, this is the first time we have honored an entire team for the hall. The Knicks set the bar for all time ineptitude this week, and it was so bad their head coach was “chuckling” after the game?!?!?
The Knicks were handed their worst home loss ever when the Mavericks — minus point guard Jason Kidd — trounced them 128-78 Sunday night. The loss was so frustrating, the Knicks coach spent the post game press conference chuckling.
“It’s hard to even comment on this game, it was just so bad in every area,” Knicks D’Antoni said. Later, when asked if the Knicks showed effort, D’Antoni cracked: “I hope not because if it was there, we’re in trouble.”
After a close loss to Kobe Bryant and the Lakers on Friday night, the Knicks hung with the Mavericks for the first quarter. But from there, nothing seemed to go right. “It was bad by everybody,” Lee said in a press conference. “If we win by 50 I wouldn’t say we’re the best team in the east. We lost by 50 points, we’re not the worst team in basketball.
Wait hold on a second coach D’Antoni, teams in the NBA all have pro level talent and they don’t lose by 50 points. Typically you see that in high school, or really bad college basketball match ups not in the NBA. On this night the Knicks were the worst team in basketball, losing by 50 is just about the worst thing that can happen to you in the NBA.
It is for that reason that we have bestowed the honor of inducting the entire 2009 -2010 New York Knicks Basketball team into the Sports Session Hall of Fail. This is their first time being honored here, but I am sure it will not be the last time they are honored here. New York Knicks, Welcome to the Hall!!!
