New York Jets Teammates Santonio Holmes and Mark Sanchez spent a lot of time together this offseason repairing their broken relationship by working out, eating, and talking almost everyday. All indications were that they came out of it with a better understanding of each other, and have put the past behind them.
Yet Holmes told the media that Sanchez was “rattled” once he learned the team had traded with Denver for Tim Tebow in the summer. Holmes went on to say that Sanchez’s reaction was a “wow how did this happen?” type of response. He of course tried to mitigate it by saying that Sanchez has accepted Tebow’s presence and has downplayed the situation. Even Holmes admitted that he was stunned once the team made the move as well.
Good job Santonio first you basically quit on your team and throw your QB under the bus at the end of last season, and spend the entire offseason working on your relationship with him. You both come out of that as best buddies and have a good understanding of each other, and then you tell the media something a teammate and “friend” told you in confidence? We think Santonio has no concept of how a friendship works and for that he is going into the Hall of Fail. Just a note when a friend or teammate tells you something privately you don’t share it with the media!
